If you stop by one of Muttville’s adoption events, are very quiet, and turn over every leaf you see, you might be lucky enough to spot the elusive Lady Bug! This shy little sweetie is a lucky 13 years young, and her polite and demure manners will charm even the coldest of hearts. Lady Bug is a pocket-sized chihuahua mix, weighing in at only 7 pounds – clearly, this little lady will fit easily into a purse if you’re looking for a companion to take on your errands. And, much like a ladybug, you’ll hardly notice she’s there, but when you do, it’ll be a little dash of color that just brightens your day. Lady Bug gets along wonderfully with other dogs and could easily live with another dog sibling, but she’s also happy to lap up all of the love herself. Ladybugs are thought to be lucky, and our Lady Bug is no exception! If you think she sounds like the mutt for you, stop by and meet her today. You’ll be glad you did.
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Lady Bug is a dream guest- she’s very curious, quiet (yet to hear her bark, I did get some noises when petting her this morning, they were sweet). She’s very agile, does well with stairs, jumped on the couch and bed without an issue, IMPRESSIVE!.
She’s a great leash walker, was very patient with my slower dog. Knows the commands sit and stay. She slept through the night in her crate without issues. ady bug is a dream guest! She is a big snuggler and enjoys belly scratches. She is a very smart dog, she’s caught on to our routine and has respected the boundaries that my dog has exerted.
She is very comfortable sleeping in her crate, has slept through the night every day she has been here. She is also house-trained, and has not had an accident in the apartment so far.
