A ready-made family! Besides being adorable, they are good with other dogs and cats and they are housetrained, too
These girls quickly became the shelter favorites and once you meet them you can see why.
They are calm and easy sweethearts.
Lacy and Simone are a bonded pair of cuties who have lived together with the same family since they were pups. Unfortunately a change in marital circumstances resulted in both dogs being left at the shelter in Alameda. Lacy is an adorable little girl (19 pounds) who will stand on her back legs for treats, and Simone (65 pounds) is her beautiful big “sister.” They are both house-trained and settle quietly in the back seat for car rides. They are currently living in a foster home with 3 other dogs (2 males and 1 female) and a cat, and they’ve settled in comfortably. Although they are apparently 12 years old, you certainly wouldn’t guess it by looking at them. They are both at a good weight, can see and hear and are not arthritic. They love to go for walks, although Simone tends to pull on her leash (we’re working on that . . .). They share a dog bed at night, and Simone looks after Lacy by licking her ears and eyes. They sleep quietly through the night. Lacy is actually the more outgoing of the two, but both love to get belly rubs and give kisses. We would really like to keep them together, and they’re both “easy keepers”. They certainly deserve a furever home!!
