Kudzu is a sweet senior chihuahua whose plethora of personality is downright infectious! Although he enjoys a good cuddle as much as the next dog, Kudzu came to Muttville to personally make friends with each and every canine companion he comes across. There’s no time to stop and snuggle when you are playing with your buddies, and Kudzu is a black fuzzy blur as he cavorts around the courtyard. Because of this, Kudzu may make a good sibling if you already have a pup of your own, but he’d also probably enjoy being the center of attention with occasional trips to the dog park. If you’re ready to meet the mutt equivalent of Mr. Congeniality, come spend some time with Kudzu today!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Meet Kudzu — this distinguished eight-year-old Chihuahua is a gentleman: calm, affectionate, and endlessly curious about the world, one sniff at a time.
He loves walks and sets a fast pace if you let him (I think he’d love a yard to run around on). He is great meeting other dogs of all sizes (Chihuahua to St Bernard!) and zigzags his way on walks to make sure there’s nothing he has missed. He is house trained and great about only going potty on walks (the only time I have ever heard him bark was to tell me, in a different room, that he needed to pee).
Kudzu is very food oriented – he loves his meals, and responds well to treats. His favorite treat is little pieces of butternut squash – it even beats out his love for cheese!
Kudzu has invented his very own obstacle course in the living room, ending up with a jump into his cozy bed where he loves to curl up and nap. He is very calming at home and loves just sitting beside me while I work, read, or watch TV. He enjoys belly scratches, and gently pushes your hands away when he’s had enough, and appreciates leaving some classical music radio on when left home alone.
