Well hey there, I’m Kruz. I may not see much these days, but I’ve still got my manners, my appetite, and a whole lot of charm under the hood. I’m an old-school gentleman with a few miles on me, but I still enjoy a good stroll, a comfy seat, and cruising around with the windows down, especially if there’s a sweet lady dog riding shotgun. I follow voices like a pro, sniff out snacks like it’s my full-time job, and keep to my routine like clockwork. My eyesight may be gone, but my nose and ears are running on premium. Life hasn’t always been a smooth ride, but I’ve got plenty of heart left in the tank. If you’ve got room for one classic companion who’s ready to roll, I’m your guy!
Kruz is blind and came to Maui Humane Society as part of a large-scale intake from a property where the conditions were far from ideal. All of the dogs were undersocialized, but over time, Kruz has learned to trust us. He’s shown he can be social with people and does well with female dogs and submissive male dogs.
Kruz would do best in a quiet, mature home—possibly with older kids—and with someone patient who can help guide him. He still has some learning to do. His excitement can get the best of him, and we don’t have the staff resources to give him the consistent training he needs.
Kruz is currently on Maui but can be adopted off island.
If my profile shows I am in a foster home, please reach out to our Adoption Team to arrange a meet and greet by emailing adoptions@mauihumanesociety.org
This is a courtesy post. Kruz! is not a Muttville dog. If you are interested in adopting Kruz! and want to learn more about him, please contact: adoptions@mauihumanesociety.org.
