We lovingly said goodbye to Klay – here is what one of his mom’s had to say:

“Klay was my foster for over a month and we miss him so much. Under all of his barking and growls, he was the sweetest dog in the world. I will never forget every time I would come through the front door, and he would run up and with his right ear forward and rub into your legs. He was always the dog for some chicken or cream cheese. He would love running by your legs on the beach and chasing the waves out and running back. We will always miss him.

If you’re looking for a dog who’s ready to make friends at any time, you’re looking for Klay! He loves people just as much as he likes other dogs, and he’ll sniff out the friendliest faces in the room. When he’s done socializing, he’s always ready to curl up in his bed and take a nice nap! Klay’s foster has great things to say about this cute guy:

Klay is a very happy, mellow guy who loves napping & cuddling & following you around to be close to you. Klay is very happy with laying in his dog bed & burrowing under a blanket. But don’t let that fool you. He LOVES to go for walks & loves to run & chase the bigger dogs at the park. Even with his tiny legs, he can run. Klay gets along very well with our resident dog & the dogs in our building. He will bark when he sees a dog on the street, but ‘usually’ is fine when meeting the other dogs. Klay is definitely shy at first and won’t make eye contact with new people, but opens up quickly with some nice scratches. He loves to be picked up, cuddled & petted. There have been no accidents since the first day when he marked a couple of times, but we caught him. He has gotten used to our routine of walking 4x per day. Klay is really adorable & has very cute ‘bursts’ of energy where he’ll run around the house & leap into his bed. But he can also stand or sit in once place & just stare at you for a long time. Usually when I’m in the kitchen ;-) He makes the sweetest tiny howling sound when he hears sirens nearby. When we are holding him & then putting him down on his bed or his blankets, he loves it & immediately rolls over on his back for some belly rubs.

Read a loving tribute to Klay from his adopter.
