X-small (under 6 lbs)

Keyta is a teeny tiny sweetheart looking for some much needed TLC!!!

Keyta has a super sad story as she comes to us from Solano where she was surrendered to be euthanized. She had a large mass hanging from her abdomen that weighed more than she does. She has since then had it removed and is doing great! She can be a little shy at first, but warms up really quickly. She LOVES to go on her walks and also loves to explore! She does great with other dogs and has even started to be a little snuggle bug. This little peanut deserves so much love that we know she has been lacking and just cannot wait to see her in her forever home. Are you the one that is going to be that for her?? Fill out an application for Keyta today and come meet her! She can’t wait!

Keyta is estimated to be 11 years old and weighs 6 lbs.

Here’s what Keyta’s foster has to say

Once again I’m sending notes really late…

When we first started fostering Keyta, she was a little shy. With every day that passed, she grew in confidence, came out of her shell and learned to trust again.

Keyta is such a funny, lively girl! She now prances everywhere on her long legs. She loves walks and can walk a long way! She play bows and dances in circles when she is excited. But she also loves cuddles and naps with her people. She likes to sleep with you under the covers, after her bedtime breakdancing session!

We are a household with 2 adults, a 10 year old girl, 2 muttville alumni and a cat. Keyta gets on with everyone. She mostly ignores the cat – she only barks at her when the cat is sitting where she wants to be! A couple of times she has looked like she wants to play with the cat. I would still recommend introducing her to a cat carefully.

Keyta is toilet trained, but needs to go out often, particularly first thing in the morning. She had a few pee accidents with us (our fault!) but no poo accidents. She sleeps through the night, but if she does wake up, it is because she needs to go to the toilet.

Keyta is not the best in the car because she wants to sit in the driver’s lap! It can be distracting, so a crate or harness may be a good idea.

We have loved having Keyta and know she is going to be a loyal, loving addition to her new home.

Watch Keyta here!
