From somewhere over the rainbow, a fluffy bundle of Malti-Poo loveliness has arrived at Muttville! Please meet our newest star, Judy Garland. Some years back, this beautiful gal dreamed of her own career, singing all over the world, crooning in Carnegie and prancing at the Palladium. But now that she’s hovering around 12 years of age, Judy has a touch of arthritis (who doesn’t?), and some vision impairment, so she finds what she’s REALLY dreaming of now, is a home where she can be cuddled and loved all the day long. Her ideal home will be one where she can comfortably be a bit of a couch potato and where she can bask in the attention and love of her new person(s). We hear she really enjoys binge-watching old episodes “Project Runway” and “Ted Lasso”. But she’ll probably be happy with anything you choose. In a world of good doggos, Judy is one of the best. Please come meet this bundle of fluffy love. You may end up going home with your new best friend.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Judy is extremely adorable and sweet! Truly loves being part of the family, she seeks out love, and is so thankful to be in a safe and loving home. She loves her outings and meals, and otherwise is perfectly content snoozing most of the day. She does great on car rides! You’ll see her get super excited to hop in the car and then snoozes on a lap

Judy wants to know where everyone is and be nearby at all times, but when secure in that knowledge she relaxes. She does well in a crate. Doesn’t love being left alone at first – but settles down after a few minutes. She gets very excited when we come home.

She’s very food motivated. I will say she cannot go down stairs. I think she would need a couch ramp or a boost just to be safe. She’s sleeps throughout the night, and she enjoys sleeping in. She has also gotten better with potty training! Judy gets*so*excited for her people! Wags her tail, loves to be together. She is not a huge snuggler – would rather be next to you as opposed to snuggled – but she doesn’t mind being picked up and loved on.

She does*okay*on walks – gets super excited to go out – and likes to be in control regarding which direction/how far to go. She does great passing small breeds on walks, but will bark at larger breeds to show them who’s boss. She’s doing great with my resident dog.

She would do best in a family that can be attentive and patient with her, let her get used to a routine, and give her the care and love she needs.
