We couldn’t believe when we saw this tiny white fluff ball alone in a cold, loud shelter!! Little Josephine looked so vulnerable, so sad. She is now a Muttville dog – so no tears please. We think “Joey” is 13 years old, she weighs 6 pounds and can be seen cuddling up with other little dogs in our shelter. How could someone leave her at a shelter?? She is quiet and darling. Please think about opening your heart and home to this little girl. She deserves much better than what she had.

Joey is a sweet little bit, who loves to dance for treats and follow you wherever you go. She is on the shy side, and will do best in a mellow home where she can chill with her human. Joey needs a gentle touch and a chance to warm up to her surroundings to come out of her shell. She is good with other small dogs and enjoys an afternoon snooze near her foster siblings. She likes to be held, but is fine with sleeping near you when it’s nap time. She has a bouncy little walk and enjoys going out, but many times just wants to do her business and come back in.

Joey’s foster Mom writes: She is a shy girl who will need a loving and patient parent. She’d be best in a home without children, though once she warms up to her human, she is great! She’s got some creaky bones so there should be no or few stairs nor expectations of jumping up and down from furniture on her own. She is paper trained and knows when to go on her spot. As for mealtime, she LOVES her food. Josephine is a deserving and lovely dog who you can feel, was grateful to be rescued. We hope for a kind of loving home for her next chapter!
