John Daniel is a tiny terrier with enough personality to warrant him two names, because one just didn’t do him justice. A friendly fellow, John enjoys introducing himself to all who cross Muttville’s threshold, whether human or canine – he’s a one mutt welcoming committee and he’s ready to welcome you! A scruffy little lad with the colors of a chocolate/vanilla soft-serve, John Daniel is a cuddly cutie who likes curling up in someone’s lap for a snuggle session and would like nothing more than to be lavished with attention. It’s hard not to want to spoil this sweet senior boy – a few minutes with him and you’ll be wrapped around his little paw. We think you might have a John Daniel shaped hole in your life, but it’s fixable!
Here’s some notes from his foster
John follows me everywhere. He’s a Velcro dog when it is possible to be one. He only just got used to staying in one place for a short while when I leave the room. Sometimes during walks he stops walking and protests so I pick him up.
He sleeps on couch on his own blanket with me. He seems to always be chilly which is why he wears sweaters/hoodies during walks unless it’s hot outside. He prefers to take his food out of his bowl and eat it off the floor.
He’s an extremely social dog who likes children. When he sees other dogs on walks he seems to want to be in their company. He wakes up at 8 because I do, but probably would sleep longer if he could. He loves evening walks and has a lot of energy during them. He is currently a 2 walk a day dog.
John likes the sun/sunbathing. He will stretch out and enjoy the warmth of the rays while snoozing. He also loves to be held like a baby. He is a very sweet boy!
