Having recently played a pivotal role on the gritty, reimagined reboot of Gomer Pyle USMC, Jimmy Perez is still rocking his character’s military buzz cut. But now that filming has wrapped, he will soon reclaim his full and glorious floofdom. JP, as they called him on set, is a sweet, peppy lovebug who gets along with everyone – and not just in a Hollywood way. When he wags that magnificent Dr. Seuss tail at you, you can be sure he truly means it.
Here are some notes from his foster-
While he is not too certain about riding in cars, he settles in quickly if he’s held securely. He quickly grows close to his people, and gets excited when they come back after being gone. He loves a comfy dog bed and a fuzzy blanket, but also likes to be next to or on top of his people.
He loves to go explore his neighborhood on short walks, reading all the peemail and leaving some of his own. He’s very accommodating of people of all ages who want to give him scritches, and especially enjoys them from his own people.
He also did great sleeping in his bed in the living room while we were in the bedroom at night – no complaining or begging to be let in.
Jimmy Perez is a delight to have around, and will make his forever home a wonderful companion
