Jimbo

Jimbo

#13101
Terrier/Spaniel
Male
8 lbs (small)
Status: Adopted

Are you ready to meet a spunky, spirited spaniel named Jimbo? This little guy has a gorgeous golden coat, and he gives the impression of being much taller than his tiny stature belies. Jimbo has been 100% on the go since he came through the door, zipping and zagging all over Muttville in an attempt to complete some sort of scavenger hunt that only he knows about. We’re not entirely sure what he’s looking for, but we really hope he finds it! Jimbo gives off a zesty insouciance, because he clearly follows his heart without a care as to what other people will think. At only 8 years young and 8 pounds, Jimbo is the perfect size for a carry-with-you-companion, and you already know that he LOVES doing errands. So many fun places to go, people to see, smells to smell – he cannot THINK of a more ideal pastime for a go-getter like himself. He loves a good treat, but come on, who doesn’t? This incredibly intelligent mutt already knows some simple commands, like “sit” and probably could learn even more with training. If you’re looking for an active pup to bring some excitement to your life, please come meet Jimbo today!

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Jimbo seems to be potty trained. He is very food motivated so giving him medication is an ease. He is a foodie through and through and if you are in the kitchen, he is always hanging out and curious about what you’re making.

Though he’s timid at first, he warms up quickly and from then on, wants to be on your lap. At home, he loves to relax and especially loves to sunbathe. He’s pretty quiet and isn’t much of a barker. He is also happy about going on walks. He’s a perfect mix of going with the flow and can be fine chilling at home but is also up for adventures. He’s a very mellow and sweet boy.

He rides in the car without any issues. He also walks well on leash and does not seem to have any reactivity. Though he’s a bit timid, he has an interest in people during walks and enjoys saying hi to them.

We haven’t had much interactions with kids but we did walk past three little league baseball games and kids were running and screaming as we walked by, and he had no issues with any of that. He doesn’t really seem to care too much about our resident dog, who is about 60 lbs. They are definitely respectful roommates and coexist very well but are not besties.
