Javier is incredibly sweet, mellow & quiet. We’ve never heard him bark, just some soft whimpers every now & again when he wants something. He has a low energy but will follow/chase you around once he gets to know you. But if snuggling were an olympic sport, he’d win gold for sure. He gets along very well with our other small, senior dogs & we’ll usually find him snuggling up next to one of them if we’re not around. He’s been around some outdoor cats & doesn’t seem to react, but that’s about it for other animals.He’s actually doing great with potty training! He likes to go out frequently & will take himself outside if the door is open. I’d say he’s 75% there & with a little more training (and treats!) he’ll be fully trained in no time. What an amazing little dog! Even though he’s had a rough life, he still has nothing but love to give. He’ll follow you around, watch TV with you, help you cook, & sleep next to you. Even though it takes him a couple of days to adjust to his new surroundings, once he’s comfortable, he’ll chase you around & ask for head rubs & treats. He’s also one of the softest dogs EVER. He must be part cloud. This little guy deserves nothing but the best from here on out!

Javier is the definition of a very good boy! He is quiet and mellow, and could nap the day away if you let him. Javier especially loves sunbathing, and will follow a patch of sunshine all day if he could. However, if you have a lap, he would love to cuddle right up in it. He is such a great dog, I can’t understand why he keeps getting overlooked. Even in all the chaos at Muttville, this laid-back little guy is always cool, calm, and collected. Javier will be a loyal pup to someone very deserving. He has so much love to give for such a small guy, and can’t wait to find his perfect couch potato partner! -Molly
