James is a dapper gentleman who will add love to any home!
This handsome fellow truly got a second chance when coming to Muttville. We immediately knew he needed his painful eyes removed and made sure he got that surgery. Now James is living life and so ready to meet his forever family.
Here is what his foster has to say:
James is such a sweet boy and so easy going! Even after his eye removal surgery he kept going as if nothing had happened! He’s starting to navigate much better again since his surgery. He’s getting good at following your sound and clapping helps him find his way. He seems to recognize the sounds of different members of the house too and likes to get attention from everyone.
He loves to snuggle and likes to know you are near. I think he’ll do great in a home where someone is home most of the time, or he has the companionship of another animal.
He shows excitement by spinning in circles and doing air kisses!
James is completely house trained but he’ll need some time to settle into his new home and may have accidents until he finds his way and establishes a routine. I used a belly band initially which he was fine wearing until we established a routine and we haven’t had a single accidents since. I’ll take him outside first thing in the morning, last thing at night and we go on two walks a day.
James is a good sleeper and sleeps through the night! He likes to snuggle in bed with you too but he’d probably be fine snuggling on a dog bed, too.
He loves food and will eat anything. A combination of wet and dry seems to be best for him.
It’s been a pleasure fostering James! He’s going to make someone a great companion.
