Jaguar

Jaguar

#10333
Pinscher, Miniature/Mix
Male
9 lbs (small)
Status: Adopted

He may be cat like in size but for the most part he is all doggo! Jaguar is a min pin mix with some chihuahua mixed all up in there. He is all about the pets and butt scritches! Jaguars coat is a gorgeous black color and extremely smooth to the touch. He enjoys meeting other dogs and loves all the humans. He could use a few extra pounds on his hips, so if you are good in the kitchen or can push some extra treats towards him that would be oh so perfect!

Here’s some notes from his foster:

He likes taking walks, with a steady pace and a decent number of sniffing breaks

*He’s friendly (but not in your face) and likes other dogs. He’ll head towards them on walks to give them a dignified greeting. He was good with our resident dog and once climbed into the other side of the large dog bed next to our dog. I think it was more about the dog bed being in a nice sunny spot rather than wanting to be close, but he didn’t try taking over the entire bed.

*He’s quiet, but was curious and thoroughly inspected our house.

*He has an excellent nose. He sniffed out random pieces of cat kibble in our basket of dog halters/leashes/outfits, which multiple dogs have completely ignored (including our resident dog)

*He’s a good eater and is very interested in getting treats when he can get them

*He’s fine being picked up and likes to calmly crawl into your lap, but he’s not clingy

*He slept through the night (8 hours) after a late night bathroom break

*He plays with (aka chews up) stuffed toys

*He is still letting us know what his signal is for “I need to go potty.” Right now he is getting used to the routine. I suggest taking him out as soon as he wakes up and then every 2 to 3 hours.
