At 16 years old, Huddle may be blind and deaf, but he’s still calling the plays when it comes to love and relaxation! His game plan? No blitzes, no sprints… just cuddles, naps, and being the MVP of your couch (and heart). This senior sweetheart isn’t about the fast life or long drives, he prefers to “huddle up” for a good snuggle and chill beside his favorite human. He’s a mellow dude who gets along well with other dogs, as long as they respect the playbook: no roughhousing, just good vibes. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who’s all about warm fuzzies and lazy Sundays, Huddle is ready to be the touchdown in your heart zone!

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Huddle is gentle, independent and is constantly looking for a snack. He is hearing and vision impaired but that doesn’t stop him from his love of exploring Huddle loves getting his steps in by walking around the yard, taking his time and making sure to sniff out every new scent. I’ll toss some treats around and let him explore and eventually he will find them all fun, tasty and helps him keep getting some enrichment.

Huddle can come off as stubborn at times, but it’s mostly because he wants to do things his own way and at his own pace. He’ll let you know he is not pleased with a few barks- which stop as soon as he gets his way! He loves scratches behind his ears, but is not a fan of being held for long or sitting on laps.

Another one of his favorite things is napping, after getting in some steps, he loves to find a cozy blanket to bury his face in and take a nice little nap. I love seeing all of the sleeping positions he can come up with.

Huddle is a pretty simple guy who is looking for love, a good meal, a comfy bed and a family who lets him be the free spirit he is.
