Hitch is a part-time Irish literature professor, specializing in Yeats and Joyce.
He likes to don a bow tie and stroll around the Mission looking for bookstores that are open after dark. Hitch has been know to waddle, but he prefers the term saunter. He has a secret smile that connotes a lifetime of mystery and humor. Tell Hitch a joke and wait for him to chuckle. It will warm your heart and you won’t be able to leave his side. Hitch is looking for a human partner who will help him grade papers and choose his neckties. Here’s what Hitch’s foster has to say about him:
Hitch is calm, even tempered, quiet, likes to go for slow walks to explore his surroundings, loves gentle touching & voices. He also loves to be petted & belly-rubbed & loves to hang out in the kitchen & follow you around if you have food. His energy level is low. He goes out for short walks at his own pace. He likes to curl up in his bed & take naps. He prefers a gentle touch. He easily gets startled so gentle movements & petting are good. We are working on his house-training. He wears a belly wrap for peeing. He generally goes in the early morning so quick access to a backyard would be good for him. Hitch loves to eat! If he’s sleeping, he’ll wake up at the sound & smell of activity in the kitchen & wander over, begging with those gentle eyes for a treat. He sleeps in his own bed & loves to sniff everything around him when we go for his walks.
Hitch is estimated to be 12 years young and weighs 22lbs.
