What’s up dude? Hey Buddy is a terrier mix whose tail will not stop wagging! He is your easygoing, fun loving best friend that your parents will love. Hey Buddy’s favorite movie is Turner and Hootch but he’s happy to watch Succession with everyone else. He makes a mean lasagne and he’s always willing to help clean up after a party. Hey Buddy always has a smile on his face. Really. An actual smile. You’ve gotta meet him!

Here’s a note from his foster:

Hey Buddy is such a sweet, mild mannered boy who loves nothing more than your love (and treats). He likes a cozy spot on the couch next to you or a fluffy dog bed. He doesn’t bark much, but he does randomly bark at nothing (I’m still trying to figure this one out haha) It doesn’t happen a lot but it makes me wonder if he’s seeing a ghost in my house…

He gets along beautifully with other dogs. He doesn’t get in their faces, and is generally a polite gentleman. And he’s gotten along great with every person he’s met! He also likes rubs and pets, and just walking around and doing his own thing.

He will sometimes whine when he feels left out. For example, we don’t allow the dogs on the bed, and he will whine because he wants to be with us. Once told “no”, he seems to understand and takes a spot on the dog bed.

He is potty trained and is generally very good about going outside. He’s had a couple accidents inside but it’s probably because he’s in a new place.

He’s no spring chicken but he still gets excited about walks. He enjoys short, relaxing walks. He is able to do stairs but seems to prefer not to use them. I have been carrying him up and down the stairs, I don’t think he’s in pain, but he probably has some arthritis and his leg shakes a bit sometimes. It doesn’t hinder his mobility at all, just a bit slow.

He is a bit on the heavy side and is currently on a strict diet. He might have been fed table scraps because he whines and begs when we eat. Do not be fooled by that face! He will really benefit from some weight loss. He currently waddles a bit when he walks (it’s really cute though!)
