You’ve got a couch. What you need now is an oversized Midcentury Modern throw pillow covered in plush black fur. If you’re lucky, you’ll find one that doubles as an easygoing poodle who enjoys short walks, children, cats, and other dogs. My friends, Hetch Hetchy is that pillow. Handsome, mildly overstuffed and cuddly, this amiable chap is pure pleasure on and off the sofa. Come over and plop down next to him. Then fluff him up and take him home.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
HH is a reservoir of love, cuddliness and coolness . He seems to be house trained. No accidents in the house. I took him on the bus and held him up in my arms to look around and he watched it all, & then rested his face on my shoulder. At home he surveyed the place, found his spot in the living room. After awhile he joined me on the sofa and cuddled up against me. His favorite thing is getting scratched under his chin.
He doesn’t seem able to do stairs to my sofa or the ramp to my bed, so I lifted him.
Kept his walks 15 minutes or less and no stairs. Every once in awhile he’ll stop and won’t move. After about 15 seconds, he’ll start again. So we walked at his pace. Hopefully with diet, a little exercise and medications he can blossom into the energetic 7 year old he was meant to be.
