Hemingway is the picture perfect gentleman!
This distinguished boy would not look out of place in a top hat – he’s a man with great manners! Wouldn’t he look fantastic laying at your feet or in your lap while you sip a glass of wine, whiskey, or water? When you’re done, you can indulge in an evening stroll around the neighborhood – he loves to sniff around and explore. If you’re looking for a dog you can introduce to your friends, he’s a perfect fit as well – this polite boy doesn’t jump or bark when greeting new people. Hemingway likes to lounge. He has a lower activity level & will sniff around the yard a bit but doesn’t go on very long walks. He is great with other dogs & is fine with cats & chickens. He is good at going up stairs but needs some assistance going down. We are working on potty training with belly bands. His favorite place to nap is the couch.
Hemingway is an adorable character, equal parts old soul & love bug. He is easy going, loves cuddling & is quite receptive to whatever love you want to send his way. Hemingway relaxed by day 2 & settled into the bed we gave him. He loved the rug placed in a sunny spot in front of our sliding deck doors & we often found him sleeping there. He was also interested in the kennel we put up for him. Hemingway was great with our old gal, although they did not engage, they did crawl into adjacent bed, he was relaxed & happy. Hemingway does well on walks where he has a visual guide such as a building wall or raised curb. Hemingway had an accident when he first arrived but after the day with him we learned his queue’s. A bed in a sunny place & next to you at night will make him happy, he is also very content if you would like a night time snuggle in your bed. We love this little guy, he won over our hearts in such a short time. Please bring him home & love him full time, he will reward you with all that love right back!
