Here comes Heathcliff, moseying on his way looking for love. He may have a hitch in his gait, but he does love to ramble and explore at his own pace. In his downtime, this handsome guy enjoys a cozy spot to snooze. Heathcliff enjoys the company of other dogs.
Here’s a note from his foster!
Heathcliff loves to cuddle! He likes to be held like a baby, but he appreciates his own ‘face space’ and isn’t much of a kisser. He’ll let you know if you get to close!
He loves to be near his person most of the time so he’ll do best with a family that is home a lot or can take him along on errands.
He loves to play tag! If I run into another room, he follows me and comes right up to me. I tag him and run to another spot and he will find me like hide and seek. It’s the cutest thing ever!
Heathcliff is a major snuggler and likes to snuggle up to me on the couch while I watch TV. He lets me give him a manicure or groom his fur when he is on the couch, especially if he is sleeping.
True to his senior self, he sleeps most of the day. At night he can get a little nervous, pacing a bit, but mostly he sleeps well in his bed if it is right next to mine.
We’re working on potty training and he is learning fast. He likes being dressed up in warm sweaters or fleece to go outside.
Heathcliff loves to go on walks and he wags his tail when we are going to go outside! Mostly he looks down at the ground on walks and not straight at you, but that makes it special when he gives you the look!
I have put beds and pads in every room so he can nap by me when I work, he can sleep by me when I sleep, and he can come into the bathroom when I am in there.
He is very attached.
Heathcliff is really a love and will make anyone happy who likes to have a constant cuddle companion!
