As you know, fall is in full swing, and that’s why we’re bringing you Harvest Moon, the biggest, brightest full moon in autumn! With fur so white you might think he’s a sun instead of a full moon, Harvest Moon is a light in the darkness, complete with an adorable doggy smile. This medium mutt weighs in at about 32 pounds, so he’s bright enough to see at a distance so you’ll never lose track of your moonlit mutt. Harvest Moon doesn’t so much walk as effortlessly glide across the sky, and he’s looking for the right group of stars to shine with. If you have space in your constellation, come see if he’s the Harvest Moon for you!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Harvest Moon is a literal cloud on legs. He’s a sweet, loyal, and affectionate floofball who loves nothing more than to be with his person. In typical velcro dog fashion, he likes to follow me around the house and curl up on my lap. He absolutely loves to go on walks and breaks into a happy gallop. I take him out for two (sometimes three) walks a day for about 25 minutes each. He’s a great walker, doesn’t pull on the leash, and is friendly to new dogs and people.
Harvest Moon is anxious in new surroundings and paces around the house a lot. But once he feels safe and settled into a steady routine, his personality shines through. He’ll roll over for belly rubs and is always eager to chow down on his food. Harvest Moon loves soft, cushy spots and needs a lot of loving reassurance.
He is potty-trained and does his business outside, but there may be the occasional nighttime accident. I make sure to give him access to my backyard at all times. He is hard of hearing and a little wobbly on his legs, so he makes sure to keep a dutiful eye on me and appreciates being carried up the stairs. I’ve left him alone for up to 5 hours and have come back to a spotless house with Harvest Moon patiently waiting for me.
If you’re looking for a gentle, cuddly cloud who will melt your heart, Harvest Moon is the one for you.
