Harrisburg is one of those cities that everyone sleeps on because most people think the capital of Pennsylvania is Philadelphia, but it is not to be overlooked and neither is the adorable senior chi-rat terrier mix bearing the same name. While not the most attention grabbing, this little guy has lots of personality (as much, in fact, as the frosting of white hairs artfully arranging his snoot!). Harrisburg is a ladies’ man who bonds more strongly with female humans, so if you’re looking for a canine Casanova, give him a call! Harrisburg also has the strong desire to rule his own kingdom, so he’s looking to be a spoiled solo sweetheart. If that sounds like a match for your home, come delight in the wonder that is Harrisburg!

He is a full of energy, he loves to spring up onto the couch and land right in your lap! Talk about a nice surprise. He would love nothing more than to curl up on someone’s chest / lap. This is where he is most content. He is already great at going outside to use the bathroom and when he’s ready to go back home he has no problem walking up and down the stairs.
He is polite on leash to other dogs, greeting them calmly AND ignoring other dogs who bark or lunge. He will chill in his bed most of the day BUT he has a lot of energy on the walks. He would probably walk for miles happily! In the morning he is so wiggly and excited to see his people, he has to jump up an give hugs and whines and kisses.
