Harriet is the fifth, little-known Golden Girl who has recently moved to the Bay Area from Miami. Her passions include sunshine naps, treats, and cyber security. There is nothing Harriet would love more than to walk slowly with you to the corner store to buy lotto tickets and Icees. We hope you win big, Harriet.
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Floppity ear, bouncy walk, napper extraordinaire, softest fur this side of the Mississippi… what’s not to love??
Hi, I’m Harriet!! I’m a bit of a shy girl, but once I figure things out, I’m the sweetest senior you’ll meet. Scratch my chin and I’ll give you little kisses as a thank you! Give me a spot in the sun to nap, and I’m a happy girl. I’m not super snuggly yet, but give me time to relax and get to know you, and I might surprise you.
I’m very quiet, except for when the human is late getting me my dinner (and even then, I try to limit my complaints). Food is just so delicious, I can’t help it! My kidney issues mean I get a special diet, which is fine by me! My eyes and ears also don’t work quite as well as they used to, so loud sounds or doorbells don’t bother me one bit.
I’d do best as an only child, or with a confident sibling. I’ve never really met a cat but I loooove chasing things, so maybe not a great sibling for me. My mouth is still recovering from getting a bunch of painful gross teeth taken out, so chewing is still a bit ouchy, but I think I’m going to like squeaky toys and playing fetch A LOT.
Another cool thing about getting all those teeth out is that all of a sudden I can smell all the delicious smells on walks! And don’t let my stiff hips fool you – I’ve got a pep in my step when you get that leash out, and the cutest wiggle butt walk. I co-exist peacefully with my foster brother at home – he’s even shown me the joys of morning zoomies! Steps are a bit tough so I prefer to be carried like the princess I truly am.
I’m working super hard on my potty training, and will try to let you know when I need to go out but I’m not perfect yet! I’d love a home with a yard, or easy access to a pee pad balcony. As soon as the human lets me out, I trot right to my favorite spot to do my business and then trot right back – no fooling around here!
