Hank and DeeDee are definitely prom king and queen. They’re just so… good looking. So cutely bonded. So agile. So soft and smooth. And it might be strange to say, but they seem to be the most intelligent people in the room. Even when there are actual people in the room. It’s probably not a bad thing to feel like you want to impress your dogs intellectually. But truly, these are two incredibly sweet and loving dogs. They will make some lucky person double-happy.
Hank is a male Dachshund/Chihuahua, 7 years young, weighing 24 pounds.
DeeDee is a female Chihuahua mix, 8 years young, weighing 15 pounds.
Here’s some notes from their foster:
Hank and DeeDee bond very quickly and will happily follow you anywhere. They enjoy copiloting car rides, going on short or long walks, and just generally doing what you’re doing. This adorable duo is initially shy meeting new humans, but loves meeting other dogs, including much larger dogs. They get along with our two cats, and will do well in a home with or without furry friends.
Their favorite things are mealtime and treats. Both are excellent eaters and gobble up their fresh food. These two prefer to sleep in bed with their humans, and have shown zero interest in our selection of dog beds! The doggies share a very sweet and gentle disposition, and enjoy scritches and belly rubs. They are filled with doggie kisses for their humans and each other.
Hank and DeeDee seem quite healthy and fit, and are not on any medications at this time. At seven and eight years young, these master tail waggers are energetic and curious. They have no trouble running up and down the stairs, leaping in and out of the car, or jumping on and off the bed, couch, or a welcoming lap. They enjoy being outdoors, but are perfectly content to chill inside, too.
Both are 100% potty trained. There have been no indoor accidents and no adjustment period was needed. They also rarely bark with the exception so far being when demanding teenagers barged in and interrupted my work day. Smart doggies!
Hank and DeeDee are extremely well-mannered and an absolute pleasure to have around. This sweet pair is going to make their new forever family extremely happy!
