Meet Halo, proof that angels sometimes come with paws. This large, gentle lady may be a bit nervous in new environments, but give her a little time and you’ll see her heart of gold shine through. Once she knows you’re a friend, Halo melts into the softest, sweetest companion who absolutely lives for pets and gentle affection. She’s the kind of girl who just wants to be near you, soaking up love and giving those quiet, soulful looks that make you feel special. In the right home, Halo will blossom into the loving companion she’s meant to be!

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Halo is a very happy girl. She is fantastic on leash – no pulling even when a squirrel ran by. When walking, Halo likes to keep everyone together. If one of us falls behind, she’ll wait til we catch up. We took her for a stroll around Blue Heron Lake at Golden Gate Park. She was not interested in the geese, ducks, or others dogs – only hesitating for a quick greet. She did let humans greet her, and she was very popular because she is so gorgeous.

Halo does great riding in the car. She tried hopping into the front seat and didn’t want to leave, but she eventually settled in the backseat for the ride to the park.

She has a good appetite. She gets a mix of kibble and wet food. She hangs out in the kitchen but isn’t a beggar.

Halo hasn’t had any accidents in the house. She relieves in the garden or on a walk.

She slept through the night on a bed next to ours. Even when the neighbor dogs start barking , she stays calm and quiet.

At first, Halo was slow to warm up to my hubby, but after a day, they are besties. It helps that he fed her and took her on the evening walk.
