Gussie is super special! Her sad eyes called out to me at the shelter. She was brought in with an untreated skin infection and she wasn’t spayed. You could tell she has had quite a few litters of puppies too.
She was nervous at first but as soon as I sat down in her small kennel, she tentatively crawled into my lap. I melted and she melted into my lap too.
All this girl wants is companionship and love. We think Gussie may be 9 years old, though she is very active and will be a great hiking companion. She weighs 17 pounds, she is fine with other dogs and likes all people. Her skin infection is being treated and she will be spayed prior to adoption. Gussie is blossoming every day!
