GUS GUS is your right hand man. Need a dress made? He’s on it. Need a bowl of food eaten? He’s got that covered. Gus Gus is here to support you. He may even be willing to fetch your slippers… For a treat! Gus Gus is a sweet sweet boy who gets along great with all the dogs. He is a one of a kind, light brown Chi Chi who loves attention and soft pets. He wanted us to make sure you knew that if you take him home, he will even do your taxes! Is that a deal or what?

Gus Gus has the most wonderful personality. He is a super happy guy, and greets everyone will a smile and a tail wag. His tenacious spirit is contagious and you can’t help but smile when you’re with him. He also gets along with other dogs great too! Gus Gus quite possibly could be the perfect mutt!

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Gus continues to be a complete sweetheart and such a tender, loving soul. Does great with all humans. Not phased by kids at all.

He’s definitely a yes on stairs. He can go up and down on his own. (His profile says maybe because I think you weren’t positive whether he could do them, Which makes total sense with his injury.)

He’s an amazing walker, as well! I would say that he enjoys medium-length, not just short, walks. He’s definitely not going to be the kind of dog who wants to go on a 5 mile run with you, but I think probably most senior dogs are not that. Today, he and I went on a two hour hike, and I probably carried him in the backpack 2/3 of the time, and he walked just fine 1/3 of the time. When he gets tired, he stops and lets me know that he wants me to carry him. But it’s more often the case that I will pick him up and carry him on my own because I don’t want him to be too tired than that he actually stops and asks to be carried. He really does not let his injury slow him down at all. I think he’s a great fit for someone who loves doing hikes and longer walks in nature, if they don’t mind putting him in a little backpack carrier some of the time. And he absolutely loves walks in the city that are about 20 to 30 minutes. He’s also super calm, so if somebody feels like they can only do 15 or 20 minutes of a walk for him, that would be great, too.
