Pomeranian Chihuahua Mix (PomChi!)
Male
Small (6-20 lbs)

OMG it’s Granola!  This irresistibly cute pom-chi is a total goofball.  Granola has so much personality and will have you giggling all the time.  He is a man of the town and loves to strut his stuff.  He is fluffy, sweet, and has the best derp.  So far, he hasn’t been the most snuggly guy, and values his independence.  He will be happy to go for walks during the day or even up for hitting the town.  He is an active guy for a senior and prances around like the king that he is.  Granola is amazing and would do great in any home.

Granola is estimated to be 11 years young and weighs 7 lbs.

HERE’S WHAT HIS FOSTER HAS TO SAY!

More than once, while I have been walking with Granola, I have been asked if he is a puppy. Most were surprised to hear that he is 11 years old! I don’t know if it’s because he is so small or because he still has a spring in his step, but it would be hard to guess that this little guy is a senior dog with impaired vision!

Granola loves to be outside! He gets so excited for his walks and while we may not always walk far, he enjoys sniffing and exploring every tree and patch of greenery along the way. He also enjoys lounging in the sun. He can be a bit shy at first, but once he is comfortable, Granola is so loving and affectionate. He loves belly rubs and getting scratched behind his ears. He will jump on my lap for a snuggle and when he’s had enough, he will go to his own bed or a quiet spot behind the chair.

Granola is house trained and will even let me know when he has to go. The few times he has gone in the house (when I missed his signal) he did use a pee pad. I do keep a pee pad out at all times, especially overnight. He has glaucoma and requires eye drops twice daily, which he takes very well. He is apparently almost blind, but navigates my house and yard with no problems. He is also on medication for mild arthritis. He barks for a few minutes when I leave him, but doesn’t seem to have a big problem with separation.

I can’t say enough about this wonderful, sweet little guy. He would be a terrific addition to any family. Plus, he is just so darn cute!!
