Lights! Camera! Action! Goonie is a dream come true!
Goonie is a sweet little Terrier with a special something about him that’s hard to describe … is it the adorable way that he likes to lay down close to his special person, or is it the way that he likes to gentle nudge you with his nose just to remind you that he’s nearby? Our guess is it’s those two things and so much more! Looking like a stuffed doll come to life, this little guy deserves all the love he can get because he has so much love to give in return. We should always let love show us the way … and who better to show us the way than an amazing senior dog like Goonie who has lovingly been around the block a few times and knows the way? Here’s what Goonie’s foster has to say:
Goonie has been a complete sweetheart at our house. He’s loved every person he’s met and shows it by licking, nuzzling, and placing his paw gently on your leg as you pet him. He sleeps through the night with no accidents or getting up, and will sleep in as late as you let him! We’ve been taking him outside once every five hours or so in the day, but we’ve occasionally left him alone for longer and he has been completely fine: no accidents or signs of separation anxiety.
We have noticed that he is almost blind; we think that he can see shadows and fuzzy shapes of things, but cannot, for example, safely navigate unfamiliar steps, and he gets nervous jumping off things (from curbs to couches) because he can’t see how far a jump it is. He definitely can hear our voices though, and he loves it when we talk to him; his tail starts wagging and he tries to lick our faces. Just within a week, we’ve observed him coming out of his shell and learning the layout of our house, which has been really fun to watch. We hope you you will take a chance on this little dude, because he will certainly brighten up any life he bumps into!
Goonie is estimated to be 12 years young and 10 pounds.
