Gollum is a sweet but nervous boy. He is neutral to our large dogs and our cat. So far he hasn’t met a stranger he doesn’t love. He is very good at the vet and I’m told easy to handle. Unsure if he is good with children. He is nervous and would do best in a quiet and calm home with other small dogs or cats (gets run over easily by big dogs and doesn’t appreciate it). He is a really sweet boy once he warms up and just wants to be near you. He is very vocal and knows what he wants and when he wants it.
Gollum was owned by a distant family member of mine when they passed away. He was in the home for 4 days after his owner had passed before he was found. He was at risk of being euthanized due to no one else being able to take him so he came to us. He was skinny and terrified. He is much healthier now, he has gained weight, he is more confident, he is 90% potty trained (100% if potty pads are left out). He has had vaccines, flea and tick, blood work, etc all done to ensure he stays healthy.
As much as we wish we could we simply do not believe we are the right fit for his forever home due to lack of space, money, and moving across the country in a year. We are in no rush to get rid of him but do want to find a better fit for his forever home.
