It’s not often that you come across the perfect cross between a woodland creature and a teddy bear, but sometimes the stars align bringing you a beacon of pom-chi goodness like Geordie. This spunky little senior has spent the past 14 years on his quest to become the Ultimate Canine Companion, and we have to admit, he’s doing an excellent job. Geordie is fluffy and feisty and everything you could want in a fur baby, excelling at both cuddles and couch potato-ness as well as spirited jaunts around the block. While you’ll most likely be buffeted with a constant symphony of “aww, isn’t he just the CUTEST!” we don’t think either of you will mind. We here at Muttville just can’t get enough of his adorable little face, so we’ll be sad to see this little guy go, but we’re certain that he’s going to go soon. Mythical mutts like Geordie don’t come around very often, so if you want to spot him, hurry on down to Muttville. Geordie will be the one surrounded by a crowd of adoring fans!

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Geordie is an easygoing, sweet boy who would thrive in a calm forever home. He is a lowkey companion who is perfectly content to snuggle next to you. While he hasn’t expressed interest in toys, he does love the occasional treat!

Geordie hasn’t interacted closely yet with others (dogs, cats, kids, wheelchairs etc.), but he is polite to humans and dogs on our walks together. He doesn’t mind pets/cuddles, but can get startled when handled. This hasn’t escalated to more than a yap, but it’s best to approach Geordie slowly at first. After just two days, he’s become more at ease being picked up. He will wait quietly until you come home, and doesn’t mind vacuum cleaning or loud noises one bit.

Geordie enjoys a leisurely walking pace and is a curious boy who sniffs everything. I’ve walked him a mile and up two flights of stairs, which he handles like a champ! Because Geordie is so small, sometimes I’ll take the elevator just to save him the effort.

Geordie is potty trained and now able to go 3-4 hours without going tinkle. He is learning to hold it until I take him out, but still has accidents overnight. I keep a belly band on him at home just in case.

Geordie is a loyal shadow and makes a perfect lap dog while I work from home! He’s best suited for a predictable, small household where he can nap and cuddle. He doesn’t have issues being left alone but takes time to trust and has boundaries. We’ve worked on this together, and he has no issues when I carry him now.

Overall Geordie is gentle, steady, and full of love to give. His forever home will be lucky to have him!"
