Gemini’s deep chocolate fur and distinctive snaggletooth differentiate her from our usual crop of tan chihuahuas. She came to Muttville on a mission to absorb all of the cuddles she can find, which she has been carrying out with ruthless efficiency. This lovely lady spends her time hopping from lap to lap, hoping for a nice scratch behind the ears and a treat or two. We know that she’s going to find the perfect lap to land her a forever home, but in the meantime, she’s ready to cuddle. In the rare event she’s not glued to a lucky volunteer, Gemini prances prettily around HQ without a care in the world. She knows her forever family is out there looking for her, and she thinks they’ll be here soon.

My heart soars when this little girl climbs on to my lap, she wants to become one with her human :) She loves following me everywhere and just being with me. She was very shy and anxious when we first brought her in, but she loves attention SO MUCH that she’ll get past this quickly. Takes her a bit to warm up to new people but seems to bond within a few hours. Once comfortable she wants to always be close. Loves lap time.
She is sensitive to noise and might bark at the unknown (human and sounds she can’t see the origin of). She’s a little toy/treat lover, and a fast learner, so she might enjoy a little bit of training to find these experiences more fun! She is energetic for a senior dog but still loves extended lap time. In a loving home, she’s just going to keep on growing and growing.
