Perfect for a road trip, Gatorade is just what you need to take the edge off. He is a multicolored pooch and his eyes are even better than electrolytes! Gatorade goes well with potato chips, pretzels, and most importantly, your lap. Super friendly and sugar free, come enjoy a Gatorade!
Here are some notes from his foster:
I met Gatorade on my volunteer shift at the end of February. He had been at Muttville for 4 days and he was in isolation from kennel cough …I suited up and took him out for a jaunt, impressed at how well he walked and how sweet he was! I came back the next day and the next day, and took him home to foster on March 2nd! I found out that he was 12 years old and was found as a stray in Oakland.
Gatorade is such a sweet and gentle boy. He is fully potty trained and he has a good appetite. I give him his medicine in cheese, hot dogs or chicken and have been mixing his cough meds into his wet food. He is great on a road trip, or just to accompany you to the grocery store for a quick shop. We have walked up to 4 miles in a day, but is also quite content for 2 half hour or more walks per day.
Because of his asthma / bronchial condition, I have been leaving him in a quiet room until we are ready for the next adventure. I have found if I go in and out of the room to check on him too frequently it exacerbates his cough. He has had his own room, chilling on the floor bed or outside with me on the front bench. He loves to bark at the birds and the airplanes, and he is quite good with other dogs, but has been picky about certain pups.
I lay down with Gator in the bed in the afternoon and in the evening, to settle him down on some pillows for his nap and for the evening. I would say he rests or sleeps for 9 hours. We have had a wonderful time together and I am so smitten with this boy! Whoever takes him home will be very lucky indeed.
