Fee Waived: A kind super fan of Garamond has covered his adoption fee, so his adoption is free!
Say hello to Garamond!
He’s the canine equivalent of a perfectly typeset page: balanced, wise, and utterly endearing. This terrier sports a timeless charm and refined presence (just like his namesake font)—moving with graceful precision on walks, sporting a scruffy coat and beaming his captivating, toothy smile to all around him. A mellow soul who plays well with other dogs, Garamond imparts a sense of classic sophistication to any room—clean, understated, and effortlessly lovable.
Garamond is:
- Cat friendly
- Dog friendly
- Potty trained
- Cool at home alone
- Lovely on leash
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Garamond is a great Goldilocks dog size-wise: small enough to squeeze in between everyone on the couch but big and sturdy enough to go on long outdoor adventures and play with all his toys. He loves going on walks and is great on a leash. We explored the neighborhoods of San Francisco together and went to a few big parks, sometimes walking over a mile at a time. He even loves hopping in the car.
That said, he’s a pretty mellow guy overall, so he’s also very content just hanging out at home with his people (though at a certain point, he might bring some of his favorite toys over to you). He’s really just down for anything and so easy to get along with.
Unsurprisingly, he’s very easy to handle and harness and he’s completely potty trained-zero accidents in an unfamiliar home is no small feat!
Garamond is such a sweet, gentle boy! He’s polite and rarely barks, and loves to snooze as I work. He‘s still a bit hesitant about stairs; he can do outside stairs, but has a hard time with more slippery indoor stairs. He’s very friendly meeting dogs on walks, and loved hanging out with my friend’s chill dog. He‘s also met my family’s cat, and approached her with gentle curiosity. I think he could do well in a household with a cat.
If you can’t tell, I am a super fan of this super dog, and I think he would be a great fit for so many types of homes: active homes, quiet homes, or something in between. I just loved having his calm and gentle presence in my own home. I encourage anyone looking for a medium-sized dog to meet Garamond. He is both the hero you need and the one you deserve. Garamond is such a lovely gentleman and has been a delight to foster!
