Do you believe in magic? Can you conquer a magical man bun? Gandalf has traveled back to Muttville from distant lands. He is quite the majestic poodle who gets around just fine despite his lack of vision. Gandalf enjoys a couple short walks a day and is cool with taking the stairs with some guidance and encouragement if that’s what you’re into. He also doesn’t mind other dogs if you have a few at your Kingdom. He is a kind, gentle soul who believes that every creature is important. Once you get the opportunity to meet this mutt of mystery you will understand just how special of a guy he really is!
-Gandalf is gorgeous
-Gandalf is a super easy boy to be around and care for
-Gandalf is super gentle and sweet and simply the best boy!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Gandalf is a gem of a senior! He has great manners and is 100% house /potty trained.
Being blind doesn’t slow him down-he explored and figured out the layout of my home quickly and can navigate going in/out of my enclosed patio easily on his own when offered.
He likes to go out for short-medium walks and adventures and rides well in the car. I’ve taken him to Golden Gate Park, Ocean Beach and Fort Funston. He walks well on a leash.
He gets along easily with other dogs. My 10 year old terrier is with him during the day while I work and they coexist without issue. Gandalf even greets me at the door when I come home!
Gandalf loves to curl up in his dog bed and snuggle in fluffy blankets. He’s very easy going, quiet and mellow. And he loves belly rubs!
He is the perfect dog for the right person.
And his hair!!!!! You’ll get compliments on his look everywhere you go!
After being diagnosed with a terminal illness, Gandalf is living life to the fullest in our Hospice Program, under which one of our special hospice families has provided him with a loving home and the very best possible end-of-life care. Please wish Gandalf well!
