Gallop, a handsome white poodle mix, is a recent high school graduate, where he played tuba in the marching band and was a track & field star. When he’s not busy staring at you with his big brown eyes, Gallop enjoys perusing old issues of National Geographic and listening to vinyl. Gallop has left his fast-paced life on the field for a quieter life of walking slowly and taking in the view. He can’t wait to meet his forever person so he can snuggle against your leg and tell you how he acquired his name (hint: he wasn’t expected to win the 2024 Adidas Track Nationals).
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Gallop settled into my home quickly and has shown himself to be a sweet, independent, and confident little pup. Now that he is comfortable in the home, he will seek out short cuddle sessions and give me tiny loving licks. He’s a big fan of food—never picky—and will do the cutest little hops when he’s hoping for a bite of whatever I’m eating.
He’s an early riser who prefers breakfast first thing in the morning, though he sleeps soundly through the night. When he’s not enjoying snacks or naps, Gallop likes to stay active by doing his “security checks” around the home or going on slow neighborhood walks, where he takes his time exploring every interesting scent along the way. Even though he’s an older chap, he still occasionally gets the zoomies!
