Futon, the itty bitty choco-chi, isn’t just happy to be alive. This little perma-wag snuggle hunter is positively thrilled. So many laps, cuddles, and pets on hand! He comes in hot, all barely 5 pounds of him, leaning into every scritch. Undeterred by a bit of vision impairment and looking to gain a few pounds, this youthful sweetie boy is full of energy and goodwill toward everybody, including fellow canines. Also: Very portable. Pick him up and take him home! You supply the TLC; Futon will turn your world right side up.

A week in, Futon has become a tiny but soulful presence in our household. He loves to be close to his people, cuddling with us and following me around the house. Very quiet, he emits tiny whimpers if he loses track of me. He loves meal times and bedtime.
He’s begun to explore the house, the yard, and the warm lap of foster dad. His main communication technique is the tail wag, which he uses as a greeting, a conversational mode, and a method of encouragement.
He likes being warm, not so much a fan of winter. Snoozing under blankets is his favorite. After a nice snooze he likes a nice walk in the sunshine. His house training is going good. He can do stairs and is ok in the car if he can ride on a lap. He also would like to be the king of his castle!
