Please welcome the stage Muttville’s biggest star, Freddie Mercury. If you’re looking for Somebody to Love, then Freddie is your Crazy Little Thing. This Queen is pretty blind, so although he can’t handle any stairs, he can still jam out to all his favorite songs. Freddie Mercury shares his namesake’s love of rock and roll. Good boy!

Some notes from Freddie’s foster:

Freddie is just the most incredible little guy. He loves everyone, and everyone loves him! He makes everyone he meets so happy with his positive attitude. His tag wag is instantaneous, and he’s so happy when you say his name or give him a scratch.

While Freddie may not be able to see, that doesn’t stop him from exploring his surroundings and engaging with people. His sense of smell gets him pretty far, and once he gets acclimated to a space, he knows where to go.

Freddie LOVES to be with people, whether that be curling up on the couch while we watch tv, keeping me company in the kitchen while I make dinner, or laying on his bed next to my bed at night. As he gets acclimated, he’s become more vocal about what he wants, giving me a cute little yip to let me know he’s ready be paid attention to. I call it his "echolocation since he can smell and hear that I’m nearby but not see where I went, so he wants to make sure I didn’t forget about him.

I think he would be happy in a home with other dogs as they let him know he isn’t alone in a dark world. He co-exists peacefully with my other dogs (larger breeds) and other dogs around. He has no food aggression, or aggression of any kind for that matter.

He’s potty trained and has never had an accident with my taking him out a few times daily. He would prefer to be carried rather than taken on a walk, but he loves exploring the backyard. He is a great eater (loves a meal and treats!), deep sleeper, and just the sweetest little companion anyone could ask for.

During the day, he sleeps while I work and when I’ve left him alone, he has given a few little yips – nothing over the top, just a "Hey! Am I supposed to go too? – and then he curls right up in his bed and sleeps until I get back.

We also spent a week with my rambunctious nieces and nephews (8 years and older) and he was completely un-phased by the chaos and was gentle and loved getting cuddles from them.

Overall, Freddie will fit seamlessly into someone’s home and heart.

Freddie is ready to rock your world!
