Calling all you couch potato mutt lovin individuals!
We have one top notch super chill Chi Chi mix who is looking for the middle seat on the sofa and your companionship. Don’t have a sofa? No worries! Forrest is not one to complain. He will curl himself up in a teeny tiny ball and snooze away in a dog bed at your feet.
Here are some notes from his foster:
Forrest doesn’t run and he is too young to be a Vietnam vet, so he must have been a shrimp boat captain in his pre-Muttville life. Now that he’s retired, he spends most of his days quietly snoozing on blankets and beds. And we mean quiet – other than some soft whimpering as he tries to get comfy, he doesn’t make noise!
He gets along fine with all of the other tiny, old dogs in our house. And he doesn’t mind sharing a big bed with one or two of them. He has the sweetest, softest, most gentle personality. You just want to hug and pet him when he looks at you with that puppy-old dog face. And have you seen those little folded over ears? Perfection. He’ll also love you forever if you give him his favorite thing in the world: chicken.
He was found as a stray, but he’s steadily gaining energy and walking around a bit more when it’s time to eat. He sleeps through the night and will hold his pee the entire time! And aside from a few accidents (our fault for being off potty schedule), he’s really good about going outside. Currently he just uses the yard, but once he’s put on some weight and gained strength, he may want to walk and sniff the roses.
I’m excited to see him continue to blossom, but he’ll probably still remain one of the chillest dogs ever.
