Gentle as a flower, Flora is a sweet senior black and tan chihuahua who is patiently waiting for her forever home. She’s just waiting to be picked from the garden of other doggos at Muttville, and this magical madam will be the perfect way to treat yourself this Halloween. She hasn’t quite settled on her Halloween costume…should she be a very polite ghost? A tiny yet terrifying vampire? A wonderfully petite witch? We think she’d look simply stunning as any of them, but we wouldn’t mind a fashion show (who would? She’s adorable!)! Flora just wants to plant herself somewhere happy to spend her golden years with cuddles, treats, and naps, and she wonders if you have some room in your garden?
Here’s some notes from his foster :
When Zuzu arrived we went slow on physical activity, although she wanted a short walk in our first day (only half a block). She wants to be active and made it known she wanted more walks and more time outside. I was surprised how much she wanted to run. At dinner time, she jumped very excitedly, showing me how vigorous is her jump when she’s excited. She also seemed to jump over small barriers easily (e.g., my legs were blocking her once sitting with her, and she just leapt over them.)
Zuzu seems mostly house trained I began to understand her restlessness as a signal she wanted to go out. On walks, I noticed she often used the potty several times. I think she’s very smart. Within 48 hours, she was being very persistent in her desire to bond. Zuzu bonded very quickly. She enjoys the company of both humans and other dogs.
She is also very extroverted. On the few walks we were able to have, she wanted to interact with the other dogs we passed, more so than other chihuahuas I have had. (In only the last few days, I was able to let her fully interact with my other dog, a very timid chihuahua boy. I think he thought her a bit bossy. That may say more about him than her though.)
