Please enjoy our new walrus intake before he has a much-needed dental. Flashlight aims to illuminate your life. He was born with a killer underbite and incredibly soft fur. It’s easy to lose yourself in pets and scritches. The energy he puts into the world is pure love. He is a nimble 10-year-old who enjoys moderate exercise. When he’s not being cute, he’s usually seeking out a lap or another dog to snuggle with. This extrovert loves everyone he meets! Replace your old rickety lantern with a flashlight. The light he will bright enough to last a lifetime.

The one thing Flashlight wants most in life is to just be with someone. When I first picked him up from HQ, I put him in the back seat. He immediately hopped up front and wanted to sit in my lap and stare out the window even though we just met! He cautiously explored our home and yard and would wiggle his little tail every time we’d engage him. He feels totally at ease with my two kids, aged 11 and 7. It’s as if he doesn’t need to warm up to people, he just likes us as a species by default.
Flashlight is great on walks. He can walk a long distance, at a decent pace, and he doesn’t pull on the leash. He’s house trained already and doesn’t chew on anything either. He’s good with stairs. He loves to eat, and while I wouldn’t say he begs for food from us, he certainly asks politely.
Flashlight sleeps through the night, every night, even on the first night here. He rarely barks and loves other dogs, maybe a bit too much? Loves to nap on the floor in a sunny spot if he can find one. He is starting to become playful, but mostly he just wants to sit on a lap, be held, or snuggle with someone.
He’ll make a great companion, for all of these reasons, but mostly because his disposition is so sweet and charming.
