Blink and you might miss Flash Gordon zipping past on his way to get some treats. This sweet potato is one of the of the friendliest super heroes we’ve ever met. He just wants to be near the action (you) -ideally in its lap.
Here’s what his foster has to say:
Flash, Saviour of the Universe (queue up Queen song here…)
When not vanquishing Ming the Merciless, this little guy is up for active adventures! On leash, Flash is excellent. On leash, Flash will bark at other dogs (particularly larger ones) and pull a bit, but when he is enabled to greet the dog, he’s cool, curious, and friendly.
Flash appears to be house-trained, as he’s (thus far) made no attempts to pee indoors and gets right down to business when taken outside.
Generally, he greets all people and dogs he encounters with curiosity and affection. On quieter streets, he diligently observes and matches the walker’s rhythm, turns, and pacing. I’m a fast walker, and he has no difficulty keeping up. On busier commercial streets, he’s a little less focused on leash, getting overstimulated & curious. His stamina outdoors seems to know no bounds. He likes long walks, and will take on steep hills and foot trails with gusto! I’ve been cutting the walks short at 45-60 minutes, but it’s evident he’d want to keep going if given the opportunity. I haven’t yet had any off-leash experience with him, but I have an inkling he’d love to run around in a big open space to release some energy if it was safe to do so.

After a vigorous walk, he’ll excitedly come into the house and then almost immediately wants to get on a comfy blanket/bed and chill. I believe he knows the word "come because he mostly does come to me when I use it indoors. Oh, and is he a cuddler? Absolutely! When he’s gotten his energy out, he loves to be petted and held. His signature play is to bend his head down, and place his forehead gently against you. It seems to be his way of saying "please give me some love! Sometimes he’ll whimper when he wants attention. He likes to lap sit or lay alongside your thigh if you are sitting… and he may promptly fall asleep when doing so.
When he senses its bed time, he runs right into the kennel I’ve placed in my bedroom, and sleeps soundly and quietly throughout the night. At morning he’ll pop right out, ready to start his day!
Funny fact: Flash has a lower tooth that he likes to stick out or hide from view, depending on how the mood strikes him.
