It’s entirely possible that Firefly was given her name because she has the magnetism and charisma to just light up a room with her very presence. It could also because she enjoys flittering around and bringing a bit of brightness wherever she goes. We may never know for sure, but what we do know is that this lovely lady is looking for her forever home. Firefly is a gorgeous yorkie/terrier mix with luxurious black and brown fur and the floppiest ears you’ve ever seen on a doggo. We can’t stop petting her super silky fur and are positive she’ll be a world class cuddler for her new family. Firefly gets along well with her canine compatriots at Muttville, and she has a playful streak so we’re sure she’s going to bring tons of fun wherever she goes. But, at only about 12 pounds, she can easily be redirected to new adventures if she gets carried away. If you are looking for a little Firefly to fill your home with a glow of love, please come down to Muttville today. You’ll be glad you did!
Here’s some notes from her foster:
This little lady came into our house with so much confidence! She walked in and started exploring her space right away. She was able to settle quickly and has had great appetite from the beginning. She is potty trained. She does not interact with my dog but does not seem to be scared of our 45 pound lab and is co-existing just fine.
She loves going out for walks. She has a lot of pep in her steps and has not shown any aggression or barking towards other dogs at the park or on our walks.
I think she will make a great companion for any person or family. She just follows me around the house and sleeps near me when I am working, cooking or watching TV. She also is not afraid to hop on the sofa and rest next to me. She is a very sweet dog.
