If you have room in your life, pockets and purse for a dog, Filene is probably your gal. Just shy of 5 pounds, this itty-bitty chi has the look of a salted caramel and the health impact of a bunch of dinosaur kale. Her cuteness is a little over the top, but also life-enhancing, like her ability to provide in-home, in-lap psychotherapy at a moment’s notice. She’s hasn’t made up her mind about stairs, but she’s sold on humans and other dogs. Come visit her tiny self, and bring a comfy tote bag We think you’re going to need it.
Here’s some notes from her foster:
#1: so cute. So tiny. Cold all the time.
She signals really obviously when she needs to go because otherwise she is in bed. She’ll go outside as long as I catch her signals.
She LOOOOOVES human food. She LOOOOOOVES treats. These are the only things that get her super high energy. If you’re eating, she’s prancing around (her only form of walk is prance). She is meh on dog food, but will eat it if she’s hungry enough. She’s fine taking meds.
Broadly low energy – if nobody is eating, she’s in bed under as many covers as possible. She will occasionally bark if she’s alone and there’s something going on in a room she can’t see. She has absolutely no problem being at home by herself – fine being left for many hours.
Now that she is feeling better, she likes walks well enough. I haven’t attempted to take her very far. She seems fine with other people and dogs (though I personally haven’t seen her a lot with other dogs).
