He is so sweet, Fernando
Here’s what his foster has to say about him:
“Fernando is the sweetest little man. Although he’s shy and bit unsure at first, once you earn his trust, he is so grateful for a warm bed, a good meal, a few scratches on his head or a tummy rub, and a short walk. After being on glucosamine/chondroitin for a few days, his gait is more even and stairs are not a problem, although he needs encouragement as it seems to be a new activity to him. He has had a couple of accidents, but seems to be mostly housebroken. He seems perfectly comfortable with my dogs, but doesn’t try to bond. Although he’s hesitant to ‘ask’ for anything, he loves being on the couch next to you. And sometimes, he’ll now ask for a tummy rub – and will raise his head and look at you if you stop – but he will not beg, because he’s too much of a gentleman.”
