Here’s some notes from his foster:
Fergus is such a sweet and adorable pup who always wants to be by your side or at least within sight of you. He’s satisfied with long naps, walks around the block, then napping again. He moves at a good pace when walking and at times can show bursts of speed. He can still go up and down stairs, but he’s definitely not as nimble as he probably was.
He’s great with other dogs and is very friendly when meeting new people. We have seen on the doggie cam when we’re at work that he will occasionally bark towards our bedroom to get our attention. He’ll eventually stop and go back to napping, which he does for most of the day. He definitely prefers not being in a crate, but is friendly enough to share his dog bed with other dogs.
Most of his accidents have been on days when we’re at work. On the days when we’re home for the whole day, there’s hardly any accidents. However, we do have a belly band on him during the night as he’s had a few accidents during the middle of the night.
Overall, we think Fergus would do great in a home where someone is home most of the day as he definitely likes being in someone’s company. He would also bring joy to everyone in the house as he’s so sweet.
