Ever After is a 7-year-old cattle dog mix who always has her happy face on, ready to brighten your day. She’s a medium-sized sweetheart who gets along well with other dogs, making her an easy fit into a multi-pup household. Stairs are no obstacle for her, and she’ll confidently trot up and down to keep you company wherever you go. She values affection and leans in with joy for every pet, scratch, and cuddle you offer. This girl thrives on human connection and will happily curl up by your side after a day of play. Her treat motivation makes her a dream to train, as she’s eager to please and quick to respond when learning new things. With her positive energy, Ever After makes even simple moments feel special and full of joy. Whether she’s wagging her tail at new friends or gazing up at you with her bright eyes, she radiates warmth. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is both affectionate and easy to train, Ever After will happily be your sidekick. She’s ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and her ever-cheerful spirit.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Ever After is a sweet girl who likes lounging, eating and taking long, leisurely strolls.

She is potty trained and likes to do her business in the backyard. She will stand by the door if she wants to go out (sometimes) or she will give you a “look.”

She uses her strolls around the neighborhood to smell the flowers, literally and figuratively, and make new friends along the way. She has been friendly to all dogs and people she met along the way. There are few stray cats in the neighborhood that she seems keen on meeting. She could care less about the squirrels infiltrating the yard. We have only heard her bark twice, both times at dreaded scooter/skateboards.

She rarely uses the kennel, but she has gone in a few times when it was busy in the house.

She loves jumping in bed with our 11-yr-old and seems to like kids in general (I have not seen her with younger kids).

She is very food motivated and you should keep snacks and “people food” out of sight & out of her reach.

She knows the command “sit” and is working on “lay” and “heel.” She is great on the leash and does very little pulling on walks.

She may go slow up and down stairs and on her walks, but when the moment hits her, she will speed up with a lot of pep.

Her favorite place is the couch and she will spread out; however, as soon as a human comes by, she, respectfully, makes space for you!
