Meet our little Ernestine, the sweetest black chihuahua mix you’ll ever see! With her big, soulful eyes and oversized pointy ears, she’s often mistaken for an adorable fruit bat—but don’t let her unique looks fool you. Ernestine is 100% heart. While she may be smol, she’s bursting with love and affection – which you can see in her earnest eyes. Whether she’s curling up in your lap or trotting happily by your side, she’ll bring endless joy to your days. Ernestine is looking for a forever home where she can share her boundless devotion and receive all the cuddles she so earnestly deserves. Could she be your perfect match?
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Little Ernestine / Ernie is sweet as can be. She LOVES to snooze while curled up right next to you. She sleeps most of the day, but every time we go for walks, boy does she have fun! She is a great walker, and is very good with other people and dogs. Her tail wags a ton when she meets other dogs, and she is sweet and patient with them. She is also happy to let strangers pet her.
Ernie is a JOY to be around. She and her big ears are adorable, and she makes people on the street smile! Also, she enjoys going for little adventures – for example, I took her to a short trail by the water, and she waltzed around happily. She can also do stairs. Sometimes she may get tired depending on the amount so sometimes I will just pick her up and carry her!
When we’re at home, she’s happy to curl up in her bed or cuddle on the couch with me once I airlift her on :) She doesn’t love having the harness put on (nervous about having her paws touched), so I leave it on and it doesn’t seem to bother her. She doesn’t seem to have any issues with being left alone and the she does fine in cars. She’s incredibly quiet, too: doesn’t react to other dogs’ barking in the building, the doorbell, or construction noises outside.
Overall, a very sweet, cuddly pup who is just as comfortable at home as she is on the city streets. I’m delighted to have a snuggle buddy and know she’ll get scooped up by a loving family!
Let me know if you have any questions – happy to condense this into a more readable blurb for her adoption page if needed. Thanks again!
