Emperor Norton is one of our saddest cases and there was no way to turn a blind eye to this poor little one. Dropped in a night drop box, left to relieve himself in a small metal cage, eyes glued shut, matts covering his face, this poor baby had nails almost 2 inches long. It’s just amazing how resilient dogs can be. He loves being held and once his nails were shortened, he began to walk!
After all this little one went through, we thought a royal name would be good for him, Emperor Norton, or Eno for short. He deserves all the love possible. And he is so easy to love, too. He’s cleaned up now and better nourished. A home is the next step.
He’ll need a very very special person to nurse him back to happiness and let him know that being a dog can be fun! We are not sure of his age, perhaps 14 years old and he weighs 10 pounds.
