She may be missing the buns in her hair, the squinty eyes and the high-pitched voice of her iconic namesake, but this little Frenchie Bulldog was wondering, what’s all this fuss she keeps hearing about Muttville? Well! As soon as she trotted through our front door, she understood immediately what all the fuss is about! Emily was greeted with oohs and ahhs and pets and cuddles and a sunny back patio on which she can sit, like a little princess, and bask in the sun and all the attention that comes with being a practically perfect pup! At around 15 pounds, she is a bouncy, curious, active little gal in good shape. She will happily tell you she enjoys moderate exercise, visiting with other dogs and people, and generally just being a social butterfly. We estimate her to be around 8 years young. With beautiful mottled coloring that will make her the talk of the town when she goes strolling down the avenue, be prepared to be part of the adoring entourage she will no doubt garner. Emily wants to know – what’s all this fuss she keeps hearing about Muttville adopters? If you get a chance to visit with her, no doubt you can set her straight! You may even become BFFs!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
She is an absolute delight! I was told that she is 8… she seems much younger! She loves to run and jump on the couch and play with her enrichment toys. She is very food motivated, and is learning not to beg for food at the kitchen table. She is absolutely a Velcro dog! She has quickly become my shadow- wanting to be a part of the action and always needing eyes on her person. She doesn’t whine or cry. I took her to work yesterday (I work retail) and she barked initially at the people walking in but only to say hi and get some rubs. I noticed a few reactions towards loud kids or kids on scooters. She might be sensitive to that.
She does great in cars, if she sits on someone’s lap. She just falls asleep. Instantly.
She gets attached quickly and really doesn’t want to be left alone. She’s so easy but always wants to be where the action is. I think she would thrive in a home with other dogs or humans who can spend most of the day with her.
It appears she prefers to go to the bathroom on grass or mulch. A home with close access to a park or a backyard is ideal. She walks very short distances and lays down frequently for breaks. I’ve been very patient letting her take those breaks. She walks much better on grass and seems to tire less on grass or soft surfaces.
I think she would thrive in a house that can dedicate a lot of time with her. She’s not needy but loves very hard. She’s honestly a total love. With humans and other dogs.
